• Mark began his insurance career in 2008, spending several years with a global insurance brokerage working on large, complex commercial accounts. Recognizing a gap in the local market, he founded MKM Insurance to bring sophisticated commercial insurance expertise to businesses in his home region. Mark is deeply committed to ongoing education and professional development to ensure his clients receive thoughtful, well-informed advice. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, an Insurance & Risk Management Diploma, and carries the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB), Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations. In addition to his professional work, Mark served five years as a Director with the Professional Young Insurance Brokers Association (PYIB). He currently serves as a Director for Alberta Dreams Foundation and chairs their events and fundraising committee. Outside of work, Mark enjoys golfing and spending time travelling with his family.

Cyndi grew up in Kingston, Ontario with her parents and brother. After high school she attended the University of Waterloo completing her Bachelor of Arts, and continued on to the University of Ottawa for her Bachelor of Education. Teaching brought Cyndi to Alberta, where she spent 5 years in various schools around the Edmonton area.

After leaving the education world, Cyndi started working in the insurance industry in 2013. She has excelled in various roles across both personal and commercial lines and has successfully completed her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. She is organized, efficient, and will be there for all your insurance needs.

In her free time, Cyndi likes to spend time with her husband, Jason, and three children. Time at the lake, trail running, or being outdoors in the sun are her usual activities, but curling up with a good book and a glass of wine is equally enjoyed.

Murray Miller’s background in the insurance industry spanned a career of over 30 years on the brokerage side. Murray was a partner in a large regional brokerage in Alberta.  During his career, Murray earned designations including Canadian Chartered Insurance Broker (CCIB) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP).  His son Mark, followed him into the insurance business and along with some partners, they established MKM Insurance.  Murray’s interests include golf, reading and travel to warm winter locations.

Murray Kulak was born and raised in Stony Plain, he and his wife Suzie have called it their home for many years. They found it a great place to raise their 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

He has been a part of the business community since 1970 where he started his career in insurance and then went on to a career in Commercial Real Estate, Land and Property Development & Management.

With commercial interests in Edmonton & Area, Murray has always found the business climate in the Tri-Region to be very positive. He relished the opportunity to become a founding partner of MKM Insurance with partners/friends Murray & Mark Miller.

Murray’s leisure time finds him on the golf course, traveling and spending time with his family.

Mardy was born and raised in Stony Plain where he still resides with his wife Tammy and their 2 grown sons.

After attaining his BA(Econ) from the University of Alberta he started his career in the Travel industry in 1993.  He sold his company in 2015 and joined his Dad, Murray, in the Land Development & Property Management business. He was excited to partner with friends Murray and Mark Miller to open MKM Insurance in Spruce Grove.

Over the years Mardy has been active in minor sports, coaching both his sons in hockey & baseball, and in various community organizations. He is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Stony Plain and a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Heritage Agricultural Society, the Heart of Town Association, the Stony Plain & District Exhibition Society and many Town of Stony Plain boards and sub-committees.

When not working Mardy enjoys playing hockey with his sons, working out and traveling.

Mandey started out in the insurance industry in 2019 and has quickly picked up expertise in both Personal and Commercial Lines, bringing knowledge to both facets of the industry where she strives for the best customer service and solutions for her clients. Mandey likes to listen to her clients and get to know them to be able to build a long lasting, trusting relationship.

Mandey was born and raised in Spruce Grove where she currently resides with her children and family dog. In her spare time, you can find her in a yoga class, hiking, snowboarding, or coaching soccer in the community.

Matthew joined MKM Insurance in 2026, bringing with him 20+ years of experience in commercial insurance and risk management, with a focus on mid-market and complex commercial clients. He has worked extensively with clients in construction, oil & gas services, contracting, manufacturing, as well as transportation and cross-border operations.

By meeting with clients regularly and taking the time to understand their day-to-day operations, Matthew develops a clear picture of their exposures and priorities. As a strategic partner to business owners and operators, he delivers tailored insurance solutions and a level of service that goes beyond expectations.

When he’s not in the office, Matthew can be found at rinks and fields across Alberta, cheering on his daughter in box and field lacrosse, or on the ball diamond playing slo-pitch, and enjoying time with family and friends

Rhia grew up living in Stony Plain with her mom, sister & brother. From there she attended Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC and then spent 4 years living in the greater Vancouver area. Eventually she made her way back to the Stony Plain & Spruce Grove area where she started her career in the insurance industry in 2019. With a keen eye for detail and superb organizational skills, she excels at managing complex accounts and ensuring client satisfaction.

Rhia believes that the key to proper insurance coverage lies in building strong relationships and asking insightful questions to truly understand her clients' unique needs. This approach allows her to tailor solutions that offer peace of mind and comprehensive protection.

Outside of work, Rhia enjoys an active lifestyle by going to the gym, exploring hiking trails, or traveling to new destinations. These hobbies fuel her passion for life and bring a fresh perspective to her professional endeavors.

Taylor began her insurance career in 2019 as an Account Assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in commercial insurance and client service. She later advanced to an Account Manager role before transitioning to small business in 2024.
Over the course of her career, she's built broad commercial insurance expertise, with a particular focus on the transportation and oil and gas industries. She's passionate about helping business owners understand their coverage and find insurance solutions tailored to their unique needs. She believes strong client relationships are built on trust, communication, reliability, and takes pride in fostering lasting partnerships with clients.
Born and raised in Stony Plain, she's proud to support businesses and individuals in the community she has always called home. Outside of work, she's a mom to her daughter and dog. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring new places, and staying active. She also loves being outdoors, whether it's skiing in the winter or camping and boating during the summer.

Terri recently joined MKM Insurance bringing with her extensive experience in commercial insurance and surety.  She has been in the industry for 20+ years working with realty, energy, construction, manufacturing, and complex / cross border commercial accounts.

Meeting with clients regularly provides an intimate understanding of the clients’ operations.  With that knowledge she can then address their needs and provide superior customer service that will exceed expectations.

When not in the office, you will find Terri enjoying the company of family and friends at events and camping.

Justin grew up in the Stony Plain area.  He started his career in insurance in 2019.  Finding the industry ever changing, Justin enjoys being able to connect with his clients and helping them understand the insurance landscape.  In his free time you can find Justin at the gym, watching sports, or spending time with his dog, Champ.

Megan has proudly called the Spruce Grove community home for more than 20 years. She and her husband are raising two daughters who keep life busy and full of adventure.

 With a passion for insurance, Megan is committed to delivering exceptional service while building genuine, long-lasting relationships with her clients. She believes insurance is about more than policies—it's about understanding each client's unique needs and providing trusted advice to help protect what matters most. 

Outside the office, Megan enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and caring for animals. She is proud to be a member of the MKM team and looks forward to helping clients with confidence, care, and personalized service!

Stacey grew up in the Parkland County Area and began her career with a direct writer in Edmonton in 2008. After Starting her family, she transitioned into a broker role with a local brokerage, where she continued to build her expertise. Starting at MKM in 2026, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her clients.

Outside of the office, Stacey stays busy driving her girls to gymnastics and softball. In her free time, she enjoys playing ball with her team, as well as spending quality time with her family camping and enjoying the great outdoors.

Carol grew up on a mixed cattle and hay farm in the interior of British Columbia. She began her insurance career in a small-town brokerage in BC back in 1988. After mastering the basics of insurance, including obtaining her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation, she dedicated her insurance career to the agriculture sector.

Carol continues her involvement in the agriculture space by providing her customers with the exceptional service and broker knowledge that each of them deserve. Her dedication to ensuring that you are not only insured properly, but understand how your policy works, sets her apart from any other Ag Broker in Western Canada. She is a licensed broker in all 4 western provinces.

Carol believes in being a true partner with her agriculture clients.

Jolie grew up in the Parkland County area, where she developed a deep appreciation for rural life and strong community values. During visits to her grandparents' farm in New Brunswick, she could often be found helping her grandfather bring the cows in for milking or spending time in the barn. Those early experiences instilled a strong work ethic, a practical mindset, and a willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed.

Jolie began her career in the insurance industry in 2019 and has since held a variety of supporting roles within the business. She enjoys helping her team in any way she can and brings a dependable, service-minded approach to her work. Her background has given her a broad understanding of the industry and a genuine appreciation for teamwork, client support, and continuous learning.

Outside of work, Jolie enjoys tending to her chickens, reading, and spending time camping with family and friends.

Lisa has proudly served clients in the insurance industry since 2002, bringing over two decades of experience, knowledge, and personalized service to every relationship. Raised on a farm surrounded by horses, cattle, and hay and grain operations, she developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the rural way of life. As a farm girl at heart, Lisa enjoys connecting with clients and understands the unique needs of farming families and rural communities. She is passionate about helping her clients protect what matters most while building trusted, long-lasting relationships along the way.
